Naomi Long MLA and Paula Bradshaw MLA were speaking following the meeting with the group in Enniskillen today (Friday).

“We are grateful to the representatives of SOAH for the meeting today,” said Naomi Long.

“It was useful and helpful for providing local input into the ongoing discussion about the South West Acute Hospital. They raised some concerns with us we are now going to follow-up with the Western Health and Social Care Trust and the Department of Health.

“Local people need reassurances around the future of acute services for the people of Enniskillen and surrounding communities.”

“Today was another example of why we need a locally-accountable Health Minister,” said Paula Bradshaw.

“As with all aspects of our health service, we need openness and transparency in decision-making, especially in the context of changes to services.”
